Terms of Use

The short version: use the code, be kind about the writing, and test things before they hit production. Here's the slightly longer one.

The code is yours to use

Unless a post says otherwise, the code samples here are under the MIT License. Copy them, change them, put them in personal or commercial projects. No need to ask. A mention is always nice, but it's not required.

The writing is mine

The words, diagrams and screenshots around the code are copyrighted. Quoting a short bit with a link back is totally fine. If you want to republish a whole post, just ask first.

Test before you ship

Everything is tested on the versions each post names, but I can't see your setup, your data or your security needs. Treat the code as a starting point, review it, and run anything that changes data against a copy first. Software moves fast, so check the release notes for the version you're on.

Please play nice

Don't try to break into the site, overload it or spread anything harmful. Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to read along within the rules in robots.txt.

Everything here is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for any damage that comes from using the site, its code or what it says. These terms may change now and then, and using the site after a change means you're fine with the new version.
