Input

Extract emails, URLs, IPs and more from text

Output

Email addresses

Practical patterns rather than full RFC grammars: the email pattern skips quoted local parts and the IPv6 one skips some compressed forms, which almost never appear in logs. The grep equivalent: grep -oE 'pattern' file | sort -u. Pulling every address out of a page is exactly how spam lists are built, so keep it to your own data.

Runs in this browser. Nothing you paste is sent to a server.

From logs to lists

The common jobs: every IP that hit an error in a log excerpt, every URL in a document to check, every email address in an old export to migrate, every request id in a stack of error reports. The equivalent in a shell is grep -oE 'pattern' file | sort -u.

Practical patterns

The email pattern does not accept the quoted local parts that RFC 5322 allows, and the IPv6 pattern skips some rare compressed forms; both are almost never seen in practice. Collecting addresses from pages you do not own is how spam lists are built: keep this to your own data.

Frequently asked questions

Does it find emails written as name at domain dot com?
No. Obfuscated addresses are deliberately not matched.
Can I extract from HTML source?
Yes. Paste the source; addresses in href attributes and text are both found.
Is what I paste sent anywhere?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type or paste is sent to our server or stored.
