Density is a diagnostic, not a target: Google has said for years that there is no ideal percentage, and repeating a phrase to reach one is the keyword stuffing its spam policies name. Use the phrase lists to check that the page is about what you think it is, and that the words a reader would search for appear naturally in the title, first paragraph and headings.

About this tool
Method, assumptions, practical next steps, and limits.
A diagnostic, not a target
There is no ideal keyword density, and Google has said so for years. Repeating a phrase to hit a percentage is the keyword stuffing that Google's spam policies name. Use the counts the other way: to confirm the page is about what you meant, that the terms a reader would search for appear naturally, and that no phrase is repeated so often it reads badly.
Where words matter more
The title, the first paragraph and the headings carry more weight than repetition in the body.
