Google may rewrite a title or description it judges unhelpful for the query, so these are proposals, not guarantees. Social networks cache what they scrape: after changing an image, re-scrape with the network's own debugger.

About this tool
Method, assumptions, practical next steps, and limits.
What search engines use
Google builds the result title from the title element and the snippet often from the meta description, but rewrites either when it judges them unhelpful for the query. Lengths are limited by pixel width rather than characters; around 50 to 60 characters of title and 150 to 160 of description usually display in full. The snippet documentation explains how descriptions are chosen.
What social networks use
Link previews on Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack and others read the Open Graph tags, and X reads its own twitter: tags, falling back to Open Graph. The image URL must be absolute. Networks cache what they scrape, so after a change, re-scrape the URL with each network's debugger.
